apbc Offices Launches Unconventional Office Solution in Singapore
apbcOffices opened a boutique-style executive suites location at 75 High Street in Singapore last month, Singapore newspaper The Straits Times reports. The office space features visually stunning design - a chic, modern black interior is complemented with sleek white desks, bright white lights, and modern art pieces. Designed by architecht Colin Seah of Ministry of Design fame, the offices are reported to look more like a designer showroom than a business center. And that is exactly what apbcOffices wants. Chief Executive of apbcOffices Tony Chen said, "The culture in apbcOffices is that we don’t want to be conventional. We want to give this option to the business community of not just working in a conventional environment."
Chief Executive of apbcOffices Tony Chen spoke with The Straits Times, saying, "A lot of people will be surprised when they come up to our doors, because this doesn’t look like a serviced office, but this is the statement we want to make to the market. The office doesn’t have to be conventional, because a lot of people want to work in a creative environment. It is not only more pleasant to work in, but it will also challenge you to come up with new ideas." The office's 44 rooms are 35% filled with clients in the IT and education sectors.
This unique executive suites alternative was created to meet what Chen says is a growing demand for creatively designed office space among not just creative types, but traditional office workers as well. The demand for alternative office space solutions, mainly executive suites and virtual offices, has been on the rise throughout most major markets in the past year as more companies realize the savings and benefits that are unique to a flexible setup.
The Straits Times reported that clients said they were attracted to the offices by the image of a youthful and vibrant workplace that it projected.
Client Vincent Chia, a Regional Director for Wrench Solutions said, "The designer appeal will give our customers and vendors a ‘wow’ feeling about the way we do business, which will set the tone for our products and services."
He said the meeting rooms gave the feeling of “entertaining in your own home and meeting in a club”.
Another client, Director of Programme Development and Training at Smart Incubator Dr. Elgin Tan said the location better reflected his company's image of "slighty out-of-the-box and a smarter way of thinking."
