Datacentre
Whilst we don't want to give too much information away on our datacentres, many customers have been asking for an explanation to our datacentre configuration and SLA.
To give you some background... Our primary datacentre has its power supplied by the National Grid and by a third party power supplier. There are only a select few datacentres in London who can offer this service. Our datacentre operates petrol and diesel backup generators that kick in should both power lines go down. We also provide a 100% SLA on our Internet connection thanks to 4 separate gbps Internet lines routed in to our datacentre each from a different supplier, in addition to BT and EasyNet we also have Satellite Internet from UrbanWimax in the event of problems with the physical underlying Internet connectivity infrastructure.
Our second datacentre replicates all data in real time in the event of datacentre failover. In this event, as soon as datacentre 1 is reinstated, the changes are replicated across and datacentre 1 becomes the primary site once again. We also backup all data into an Escrow Agreement each night with our legal department, a third party who you will come across in our standard Agreement, so your data is just about as safe as it can possibly be.
We are compliant with ISO27001 and ISO9001 for data integrity and data security and are part of the DPA, VESK Data Protection Act number: Z194376X.
Please email james.mackie@vesk.com should you require statements of compliance for ISO27001 and ISO9001.
