A meeting venue at the Paddington Basin is to offer a meeting room and office facilities for office staff on the move.
This out of office service is ideal for those travelling between London offices and Heathrow airport and it also enables office workers to have access to IT facilities when travelling.
The site is specifically designed to be a meeting place for businesses and their clients or a site to just check your emails before going on a business trip. It is also ideal for virtual desktop users as it offers an internet connection and is less than a ten minute walk to Heathrow Express platforms at Paddington.
John Spencer, MWB Business Exchange CEO, said, “Paddington Basin is an increasingly important area for businesses and is ideal for people looking for good transport links with the West as well as the rest of the world via Heathrow.”
The location has been used for out of office networking since 1801 because of its linking canal system, however this is the first time that state-of-the-art technology has been added to the site to benefit travelling office workers.
For this reason it is thought to be ideal for iPhone, Blackberry and laptop users looking for an internet connection whilst in the city.
The facility is located on the fourth floor of a Kingdom Street building and towers over Brunel’s famous train station as well as the Great Western mainline.
Mr Spencer added, “The venue space is a great place to hold a meeting, conference or workshop as attendees can arrive and leave directly at Paddington station without the need to take onward journeys on the Tube, busses or expensive taxis.”
It is therefore a great service for companies that use, or plan to use, virtual desktops in their organisations.
